Lucy Sorensen
is an actress, singer, and voice over artist born and raised
in the Twin Cities of Minnesota into a theatre-loving family.
She moved east to study at Ithaca College's lauded musical theatre
program where she furthered her appreciation for all things Sondheim.
A classically trained vocalist from a young age, Lucy is equally skilled
with various genres of musical theatre, pop rock, opera, and country.
Her numerous regional and Off-Broadway credits include Mrs. Claus in the
Radio City Christmas Spectacular (Grand Ole Opry), Patsy Cline (St. Michael's Playhouse),
and The Full Monty (Florida's Maltz Jupiter Theatre). Lucy also has a
passion for supporting emerging composers and lyricists through developmental
readings and demo recordings. Throughout her career, she has performed in
Spanish as a fairy cat godmother in Panama, shared the stage with camels,
donkeys, and a baby lamb for the holidays, and once during an electrical
outage, sang an entire musical a cappella. The show really must go on!
After living in "upstate Manhattan" for over a decade, she has recently
returned to the Bold North and resides in Minneapolis with her
long-haired dachshund, Bryndal.
